bump for later
Hiding the salami? eh!
Our mailman lumbers by around 5 every day. This guy moves as slow as dirt. He is a really nice guy but has a problem with delivering boxes and if he can get away with dropping a card to have me pick them up.
He knows I’m a homeschooling mom and always home. Sometimes I have the front door open and I’m sitting within sight distance and I still get the “Sorry we missed you” card.
I’d hid it
Our dog was a 17 year old blind Yorkie.
About 15 years ago, I suddenly began getting past due notices from my creditors when I knew that I had mailed the checks on time. Turned out my outgoing mail, and lots of other people’s had been destroyed by a lazy letter carrier. She got a vacation at Club Fed.
Newman!
And paying their bills online.
The postal service, IRS and motor vehicles are government’s way of rewarding friends and achieving “affirmative action.” They are not for rendering a service. Don’t expect any service.
Please let these people take care of my health care!
I got tired of the mail carrier having the ‘sorry we could not deliver’ card filled out before they came to the house and called the local post master as well as filed a written complaint.
Caught the mail carrier coming up the other side of the street and told her I filed a complaint and gave her the complaint number.
Got a few calls during the next week from the post master and post office and have not had this problem again since April.
When we lived in Ky our mail carriers were just outstanding, so good we took Christmas Goodies to the local office every year. Here in Ohio, they leave boxes in the rain when the front porch is maybe an extra 10 steps, or they leave a smaller box sitting on the opened door of the mailbox. When I complained I was told they could do that per the Union. I should have known.
Fire them all, just like Ronald Reagan did with the Air Traffic Controllers in 1983, I believe.
i don’t want it anymore. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I do most of my shopping on line, so I get 1-2 packages per week via UPS, Fed-Ex or USPS. The ONLY ones that are left exposed to the weather are delivered by the USPS. UPS and Fed-Ex leave them on my covered front porch.
This issue coming up in Virginia also. Many local non-profits routinely send out end-of-the-tax-year mailings asking for donations. This year many of them complain that the mailings have taken weeks to make from one side of town to the other, or have not been delivered at all. The USPS is unable to offer an explanation.
Coming next with USPS-style health care: “Sorry, we lost the paperwork for your heart transplant, but guess it won’t matter now, will it?”
Here in Hollywood, there are 5 PO’s within a 5 minute driving distance, I kid you not. There’s this one station which is closest to me who are staffed by what the neighborhood calls the 3 stooges..
One of them is an old coot who is known to slam the window door at customers, the other is an Asian lady who “pretends’ to NOT know any English and the 3rd is a Hispanic lady who tells the customers...to drop off the mail OUTSIDE the post office (when they can easily reach behind them and place the mail in a box).
