FDR’s a fair comparison, at least on the domestic side: President during an economic depression and making it worse with overreaching government programs.
Of course, FDR’s make-work programs gave us attractive WPA art deco buildings made out of long-lasting stonework, some art worth looking at, and paved roads in places that never had them before. Given that Obama won’t do what’s necessary to create real economic growth, he’d do better to imitate FDR and give folks government jobs as masons and stone-riggers and paving roads that need repaved or rurual roads that are still dirt roads than continue spending on ephemera.
Like his enviro-commie buddies would allow that to happen ... right.
