Mariusz Pudzianowski (Pudzian [Pron: Pu-Jon]) - 5 time winner of the "World's Strongest Man" title - won his first MMA match against Marcin Najman, also a newcomer to MMA.
The heavyweight bout took place in Warsaw, Poland as the headliner for KSW XII. Mariusz won the fight in 0:44 of the first round by tap-out due to strikes.
The Pudzianowski-Najman fight is one of the most anticipated Polish fighting sport events in years. Before the fight Mariusz said: "Ta ręka niesie za sobą śmierć, a tej drugiej sam się boję." (English: "This hand brings death, but the other one I am even afraid of myself.")
According to the press, Mariusz will collect 200,000 PLN ($70,475 as of 11/12/2009 exchange rate)for this fight , his opponent, Marcin Najman will earn just about 25% of that amount.
Oh, no question about that! But take someone who knows how to throw a punch and then add a 600 pound bench press to the mix and you've got someone who is a truly frightening puncher. Conversely, Dempsey never experienced an "arm punch" from someone who could bench press 600 pounds. It's not like a regular guy's arm punch.
He can laugh at himself! This is good!
Amazing the WSM couldn’t catch this guy along with so many others using roids. I’m sure they don’t want to, these freaks bring a large audience. He’s actually very quick for how strong he is.
And I want that shirt.
I want to see someone try and control this monster if they get him on the ground.
Pu-jon? Isn’t that Polish for Palin?
Haha.
Actually, it's just a shortened version of his name...
Pudzianowski.
In English, you would pronounce it like:
Pu-John-ov-skee
The letter "W" in Polish, like German is pronounced like the English letter "V".
Would like to see him matched up against Brock Lesner/
Magnus Ver Magnusson was the greatest strong man of all time ;)
What is “MMA”?
Actually, that's from a famous Polish television program... "Dancing With The Stars".
He's actually a very good dancer!
Did you see how he kept his legs churning! WOW!
Oh, never mind. Mixed Martial Arts. These acronym clowns are getting as bad as the government.
Real translation: "Who stole the Kishka?"
Jack Dempsey is correct, and that is taught in boxing and martial arts. Your strongest strikes come when your leg, body, and arm align in something of a straight line from the ground to the end of your fist.
Understood, and I really do want that shirt. No srać !
