Actually, those who argue AGAINST the owner being responsible or AGAINST human responsibility are much more akin to dems in their views.... and yes, actually there ARE stories about other breeds/types of dogs attacking. ANY dog can attack.

It is true that (some) of the owners are at fault, but in many cases, its not the owner, but the breed and what they were bred for, for generations...That is to be vicious, attack don't let go and if possible kill. Which they have done many times..

There have been stories of pit (sweet and loving) bulls suddenly turning on the owner or some child in the family..They usually say there dog is so sweet and has never bitten anyone before...

Any dog can bite, but the majority of victims that need to be hospitalize to get their faces put together are the victims of pits...Each county keeps track of vicious dog bites and Pit and Rotty's are responsible for 80 per cent of such attacks...Its not the owner, its the breeds. Unless only 20% are responsible keepers of the breed..

When one considers the large amount of other breeds, and how many dogs are actually pets, Pits are disproportionally responsible..the breed is nasty, even with a responsible dog owner. Yet I have never read of one owner that owns up to the viciousness of Pits and Rotty"s.

At least with Rotties, they are a beautiful dog, pits just plane ugly dogs even when puppies..Sorry for the long post, but I am not a defender of the indefensable
