I was in another room last night when I heard the Law and Order ...duh,duh. I immediately went to the remote and changed the channel. I haven't watched any of these shows since I tried an episode of the Judge Amy Brenneman show. Her mother was aligning with a (gasp) Republican in a Shelter and was defending him as a good partner for the Shelter to her daughter. Of course he turned out to be a snake in the grass. After all, he WAS a Republican and everyone who watches these show knows Republicans are pure evil. Never watched any of them again.

Sometimes while channel surfing, or when I notice what my mom is watching, I have seen bits of all these many holiday movies, usually on Lifetime or Hallmark. It is almost comical but it is true: They all have some kind of “scrooge complex.” Almost without fail every one of them has the stereotypical evil white businessman or lawyer trying to screw society in general, damage the environment for profit, or throw poor people out of their homes! It’s like the writers of this schmaltz have not one iota of originality.
