Oh, yes, I need 4 more?
Band of Brothers, Flammen og Citronen, Untergang, and John Rabe. Didn’t see the last 3?, they’re out there, not all good films come from Hollywood.
If you are into horror movies than you have to see “Audition”-Japanese flick by Miike. That last scene still gives me nightmares.
1) Lord of the Rings Trilogy
2) Gladiator
3) Crash
4) 300
5) Up
Lord of the Rings Trilogy. We Were Soldiers Once. Kill Bill I & II. The Visitor. Fugitive Pieces. Sin City. Ballet Russes. The Diving Bell & the Butterfly. The Perfect Sleep.
Children of Men
Wow! That would be in the bottom five for me...I was never so bored in my life watching this film in the theater. I guess we all do have different tastes (which is a good thing).
Family Values movies:
1) The Incredibles
2) Facing the Giants
3) Seabiscuit
4) Narnia (both movies)
5) Secondhand Lions
Lord of the Rings [Any of the Three], Pirates of the Caribbean [especially the first one].
See my post 37 for sme foreign flick picks.
I dont know about the “best”, but my favorites are:
Gladiator
Walk The Line
The Incredibles
40 Year Old Virgin
Slumdog Millionaire
2nd best Xmas movie ever.
If you like Takashi Miike, check out his Masters of Horror segment called "Imprint". It was really good
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
The Lives of Others
Grand Torino
That’s 5
If you like the first fight scene in Casino Royale rent District B13-terrible movie with AMAZING fighting scenes.
For that matter, Tony Jaa from Ong Bak is the most amazing martial artist I have ever scene-unfortunately those fight scenes are in a crappy movie as well.
The Lives of Others
Katyn
Goodbye, Lenin
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Add to those: The Jacket and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Just watched Ong Bak 2 the other night. It wasn't as good as the first one but Tony Jaa was incredible as usual...
Allow me to offer a shout-out for three more: Space Cowboys, The Count of Monte Cristo, and A Mighty Wind.
The soundtrack on "Wind" was incredible!
Very nice! I really really loved “Facing the Giants” and the one with Kirk Cameron and his wife having difficulties but settled it at the end...quite frankly that would be in my top 5, but can’t remember the name. The American Carol would be in my bottom five...trash as I have ever seen one and I bought the dang thing because FREEPERS were raving about it...Yieks!!! Nothing to rave about in that movie.
Also the Departed, Tropic Thunder, Watchmen, and the first Lord of the Rings movie.
The Departed
The Dark Knight
Cinderella Man
Gladiator
Pirates of the Carribbean
