I looked up the 1939 NFL Team Records. Man how some things have changed.
Teams
  1. Chicago Cardinals
  2. Chicago Bears
  3. Detroit Lions
  4. Pittsburgh Pirates
  5. Brooklyn Dodgers
  6. Cleveland Rams
  7. Green Bay Packers
  8. Washington Redskins
  9. Philadelphia Eagles
  10. New York Giants
And the Giants lost the NFL Championship to the Packers 27-0, played in Green Bay on Sunday Dec. 10, 1939
Now there's so many teams they all basically suck(1). Pete Rozelle sure got his 'parity'.

the NE Pats won all those games by cheating, so they suck too.

Only 48,000 showed up for the 1938 NFL championship game. As noted in the article, USC draws bigger crowds at the Coliseum.

If UCLA football star Jack Robinson has the talent to make it into major league baseball, that’s where he should go. He’ll earn far more fame and fortune as a professional baseball player than he will playing professional football.
