Tiger Woods and wife Elin 'leaving the country'
news ^ | December 10, 2009

TIGER Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have avoided contact with the public by hiding out in their family home in a Florida gated community since news of Woods' alleged affairs broke two weeks ago.

Now a source close to Nordegren's family tells Fox News that the two are considering putting even more distance between themselves and Tiger's cheating scandal.

The insider says the couple is planning to leave the United States “very soon”.

“Elin and Tiger are planning to temporarily move closer to Sweden, possibly to a private island, to get away from it all,” the insider said.

Meanwhile several news agencies are reporting that Nordegren may have bought a $2.29 million house on an island near Stockholm last week by herself.

Swedish news agency HPG,reported that she bought the house with her twin sister, Josefin, not with Tiger.

The news comes after Elin’s mother Barbro Holmberg, visiting from Sweden to assist her daughter, was rushed to Florida’s Health Central hospital yesterday morning after suffering stomach pains.....

LOL! Yes, she should be taking him to an island that only has minority women. Tiger would just suffer in Jamaica...

Well, that’s one way to deal with it.

A secluded island surrounded by water.....

As opposed to an island NOT surrounded by water? Which would be...? (No man?) ;-)

I feel bad for Tiger. He’s all messed up. I heard via an article that Lindsey Davenport (former tennis champ who is friends with Elin) said that this is all very tough on Elin because of the kids. That when one gets married, they at least hope it will last for life. Linsdey Davenport is about the most down-to-earth person you could ever imagine (for those who don’t know her) and it tells me that Tiger’s wife may very well be a good soul herself, and that Tiger was doing 180s in seeking out the “floozies?” he used to have sex with. Anyway, I hope Tiger will see the “Light,” in the Truest sense of the word, and somehow make amends with his wife. Tiger is not only good for golf, he, in a big part, IS golf, or has been the years he’s participated. It would be a shame to see him out of the game ... (Remember, St. Augustine was a playboy before finding the Church).

Sadly, if she moves with him, we’ll know she has a price also.

Bullshit.

I don’t use crude language often, but it is warrented here.

I they as a couple have decided they want to try and save their marrige I say good. Sometimes people only understand the value of their marriage when they are about to lose it (goes for both of them.)

Rich or poor, marriage is more than money. They have children together and they have built a life together. If they screwed up it doesn’t mean they have to end their marriage and start over with someone else. Maybe, just maybe, they both decided they wanted to start over with each other.

he just may be an even better golfer than we thought he was. How the heck did he get any practice time in with all of this going on? Dang, he's good!

agree

with the all carousing, booze, and drugs, it's amazing he can play golf at the highest level

Since she bought the house with her sister, I don’t think he’s moving in too.
I cannot believe their marriage could continue under these circumstances. I predict a longterm seperation with lots of closely scripted PR to make it appear they are still involved with each other. Eventually, the divorce will happen, quietly.
What you’ll most likely see is Tiger move to somewhere in Europe for at least the year, play mostly outside the US to keep a lower profile, and still present it like he’s there so he can spend time with his kids.
But the euro hos better get ready, because Tiger’s going to be living over there now.

If would suggest this for Tiger right now: make an appearance on ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike in the Morning show on set, read a personal apology, and announce that he's taking a full-year sabbatical from the PGA Tour to "re-bond" with his family and hone his golf skills (and make sure all all his biggest sponsors approve of this).
