Good article, I read the referenced article he talked about too that raised a few flags. Most all writers don’t know much about these drugs and/or refuse to write about them. I knew Sosa and McGwire and others were juicing and said so all the time, more and more people are listening now. The problem is that obvious steroid bodies are now viewed as “normal” or the result of “hard work” and “modern training”
It’s well know that many, many guys on tour are and have been weight training for a long time, no one looks like Tiger though. We’re supposed to believe that Tiger works that much harder than everyone else, what a joke.
There’s plenty of guys working their asses off, there’s plenty of guys sleeping in their cars trying to make a living on mini tours. There’s plenty of guys in Florida lifting weights and playing and practicing every day, all day, a bunch of them live in and around PGA village in Port St. Lucie where my friends live and where I go during winters.
I would get sick to my stomach listening to these sports TV talking heads calling Bonds the best player ever, I get just as sick hearing Tiger being called the best player ever. Tiger might have been just as good without the drugs, but we’ll never know and it’s not fair to Nicklaus. Bonds was a great player, but no one EVER mentioned him with the all time greats until he got on drugs.
Agreed. I puke whaen I see guys like Mickey, Roger MAris, Ted Williams and other who did not use steroids and their records go by the wayside to cheats like Bonds.
I know guys are starving on the mini tours,, lifing weight, doing it the honest way while he appears to be the only one roided up. Like you said - no one looks like that.
Yeah some many on the street, gym rat and cop juicers that people think this is what hard working guys who go to the gym look like.
Or Tiger versus Jack, Hogan, Bobby Jones, etc. I sure hope Arnie and Jack avoid any PGA inspired Tiger image rehab.
