For the good of the sport he needs to take at least a year off. In a single week he has undone all the good he did for the image of golf. Trying to play this season would turn the tour into a media circus.

Well, I'm sure he's financially in a position to just plain retire now if he wants, and enjoy the rest of his life living in the lap of luxury.

I agree, Tiger needs to take the year off if he wants to attempt to repair his now highly tarnished image. Not to mention if he wants to keep his wife and kids and have a family.
