The backstory on the Dumbledore character is he’s homosexual. His brother was charged with performing “inappropriate charms on a goat.” The character Hagrid is half giant, half wizard, indicating his father was a normal sized man and his mother was about twenty feet tall. In some newspaper articles in the books, there are speculations that there is an inappropriate relationship between Potter and Dumbledore, although nothing in the text indicates anything resembling a sexual relationship between them.
