I also read a blurb in Wikipedia where BJ discusses the song and says "the point of the song wasn't so much anti-Catholic as pro-lust." Meaning that the song was anti-Catholic, it just wasn't the main point of the song. Your previous explanation is probably total fiction. If it's not, attach a link to the interview.
