I live in the NW hills and can get most anywhere I need to go in 15 minutes. I love it here - but then I don’t have to work in Gresham, or Wilsonville or other too far places.

I’m moving to Portland from Orange County, CA next month. I have never even visited, but I hear it’s nice. I’m going to be up there next week looking for short term housing. Is Portland as liberal as I keep hearing it is?

I agree, in and out is the worst, and 205 is downright dangerous IMO. Even if I’m going to the airport, at certain times of day I’ll take Columbia. In the city proper the West side viaducts are not so bad.

You were saying ...

I live in the NW hills and can get most anywhere I need to go in 15 minutes. I love it here - but then I don’t have to work in Gresham, or Wilsonville or other too far places.

Are you talking about the NW hills or the West Hills?

Tualatin Mountains

The Tualatin Mountains (also known as the West Hills or Southwest Hills of Portland) are a range of hills on the western border of Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. A spur of the Northern Oregon Coast Range, they separate the Tualatin Basin of Washington County, Oregon from the Portland Basin of western Multnomah County and Clark County, Washington.

The range includes Mount Sylvania, Elk Point, Dixie Mount, Rocky Point, Bald Hill, Long Mountain.
