Well, as a guy I can tell you no guy with his wealth and fame is going to have women throw themselves at them, and he’s had that his entire life. As a single guy.. fine, run around and enjoy it... but why get married at all if that’s how you are going to live, unless of course your wife to be accepts it from the get go, why even get married?

Obviously it looks like he gave his wife a different bill of sale than he delivered on. I’m sure far more women will be coming forward, you can take that to the bank.

Envy? Pointing out reality is not envy. Don’t play golf, don’t like golf, and don’t have my wife chasing me with golf clubs over piccadillos.

Judgement and Envy are not the same, you don’t like me judging him, your perogative, but its not envy, its morality that drives my judgement.

Judge no lest ye be Judged was delivered in judgement to the afterlife, not this one.

You were saying ...

Who cares????? Only the gossip people care about this stuff.

Oh..., but what I see here on Free Republic, is that we FReepers are indeed interested in salacious gossip and rumor-mongering.

By my rough guesstimate, I see that the salacious gossip and rumor-mongering of Tiger Woods comes almost up to the number of articles dealing with "Anthropogenic Global Warming" and "Obamacare"... LOL...

Yes, we FReepers do love our salacious gossip and rumor-mongering... :-)

Nothing.

Good luck finding the perfection you seek.

When you idolize humans you are setting yourself up for dissappointment.

I didn't say "idolize," professor.

There was a time when men maintained some sense of ethics whenever taking on fame and the responsibilities that come with it.

Sports people these days should take a note from great men like Ted Williams. He was a great baseball player, and was also a Marine Corps pilot in WWII and Korea.

Ted Williams is what the athletes should be emulating.

Instead, many of today's athletes are not acting like role models. In fact, they set a really bad example, as is the case with Woods.

It’s actually a good apology.

I think he has been very spoiled and privileged and sometimes people in that position think everyone in their lives is a prop to them.

Hopefully he has realized now that his wife is a real human being in her own right and that promises meant something to her. I hope he completely QUITS his man-whoring around and becomes a husband for the first time.

The best thing a man can do for his children is to love their mother.

(With all that said, Tiger, you MUST know, when you are famous and pokin’ around, NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH IT for long. And EVERYONE gets mocked mercilessly as long as the jokes keep coming. It is YOUR PRICE TO PAY for being famous. We apologize too, but the whole golf/Woods/sex thing is too funny to pass up.)

It’s “funny” that we are not supposed to accept Tiger Woods as a public figure anymore because he had an affair and is no longer “suitable” for endorsements.

But when Ted Kennedy died, and his book notes were released and he claimed to have slept with 1,000 women, the Congress decided that we should pass Obamacare because it would be a fitting legacy to the life of the late Ted Kennedy.

It’s just sex, except when it isn’t. Was this sex sex?

Some observations:

Scores of posters say we should not care and Tiger Woods deserves his privacy even though he has accepted doing all those endoresements, yet they keep posting and posting on these threads. Obviously they are mighty interested in his personal life.

I forgot who posted that Tiger Woods, with no sarcasm sign, that Tiger was headed for a 24 hour gym or golf course. I don't buy it. He did not even have his shoes on.

This all reminds me of Billy Clinton's "I did not have sex with that woman." Tiger initially denied everything. Now when tapes emerge, he admits to "transgressions."

Exactly. And what arrogance, blaming the media and others for the betrayal of his wife and children. He is a soul brother of John Edwards, the Father of the Year. And he released such stupid statements.

I have no particular issue with him since I paid little attention to Tiger Woods previously. I just have no sympathy for his lies and betrayal of family.

Partly why now because of the NE story and then the weird accident, him hitting a fire hydrant and a tree at the same time, going out at 2 am with no shoes, the wife running to the scene with a golf club and damaging two windows, and the stories they told that made no sense.

The following official statement from the Florida Highway Patrol was reported on this news website...

Tiger Woods Cited For Careless Driving

The Florida Highway Patrol has concluded its investigation of the vehicle crash involving Mr. Tiger Woods. The investigation has determined that Mr. Woods is at fault in the crash. This afternoon, FHP issued a uniform traffic citation for careless driving to Mr. Woods.

Any person operating a vehicle upon the streets and highways within the state is required by law to drive in a careful and prudent manner so as not to endanger the life, limb, or property of any person. Failure to drive in such a manner is defined as careless driving. Careless driving is a moving violation and upon conviction may result in a fine of $164 and four points on a driver's record.

This was a single vehicle crash, with a single occupant. Unfortunately, it is one of thousands that occur in our state each year. Mr. Woods has satisfied the requirements of Florida law by providing his driver license, registration and proof of insurance to us. With the issuance of the citation, the Florida Highway Patrol has completed its investigation into this matter.

The FHP is not pursing criminal charges in this matter, nor is there any testimony or other evidence to support additional charges of any kind. After reviewing the evidence available to us, and in consultation with the Office of State Attorney Lawson Lamar, it was determined that there was insufficient evidence available to issue a subpoena for additional medical information that may exist in this case. We cannot speak to the existence of any blood evidence, nor are there claims of domestic violence by any individual.

The Florida Highway Patrol will not conduct additional press conferences or interviews on this matter.

A copy of the crash investigation report is a matter of public record and will be finalized and available to members of the media by noon tomorrow for $10. Additionally, a supplemental package of all photographs taken at the scene is available as a matter of public record for a fee of $105. Media representatives wishing to obtain these documents in person may contact the Florida Highway Patrol Office located at 133 South Semoran Blvd., Suite A, Orlando, FL 32807.

Media representatives wishing to obtain these documents via e-mail must submit a certification form attesting to your eligibility as a member of the media, and a form with the required credit card information to facilitate payment. Requesters should submit both forms to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles headquarters in Tallahassee via fax at (850) 617-5108. The Department will e-mail the requested information to the requester as soon as possible upon receipt of payment in the order in which we receive the requests.

What the neighbors said, too.... :-)

Tiger Woods Cited For Careless Driving

The Florida Highway Patrol and the neighbors said the following...

First, the FHP (Florida Highway Patrol) said that Tiger was to be cited for careless driving... LOL... (I bet...), but there are no criminal charges.

They said they is not any other testimony or evidence for supporting charges of any other kind other than the charge of careless driving. So, that pretty much excludes everything else that was mentioned about the clubs and whacking Tiger and spousal abuse.

And also, since the people who live in that particular ritzy neighborhood have attorneys like we have paperboys (us ordinary people)..., the next door neighbor had their attorney give this information from them. This was the neighbor who actually called 911.

According to what he saw, Tiger did not appear to be driving under the influence and Tiger showed no signs of being in a fight. In addition a spokesman for the FHP said that there were no claims of domestic violence (despite the rumor mill around here on Free Republic).

The neighbor said that Tiger's injuries were consistent with the accident that he was in. And he also said that nothing looked like he was beat up by his wife... LOL...

The neighbors went out after hearing the crash and Tiger's wife was there and asked them to call 911 for her. The neighbors said that Tiger's wife was consoling Tiger, at the time (I guess while waiting for the ambulance) and was upset from what happened (i.e., the accident).

The neighbors apparently got a blanket and wrapped Tiger in it and also made sure he didn't move (a typically good idea in these kinds of accidents). The neighbors were also emphatic about Tiger's wife being very concerned for him during that time.

It looks like, to me, that the neighbors got the attorney to do the speaking for them to the press so that the press wouldn't be hounding them... :-)

You can see the story in the article at the website...

Tiger oughta confess to what many of us in the golf circles have known for a long time: he is gay! Magically, all his problems will be solved.
