Let me be clear: I don't like Romney. I wouldn't vote for Romney. I hope he never runs for President, and if he tries, I hope he never gets the nomination. In other words -- I don't like Romney!
However, -- I am tired of having to scroll past an anti-Romney ad as the #1 entry on every article lately.
Why does every post start with an anti-Romney ad? As far as I know, he isn't even running for anything right now.
In fact, why should every article begin with an anti-Anyone ad?
I've always considered most Freepers to be very objective and fair-minded.
Has FreeRepublic turned into a one-trick pony? (DestroyRomneyDestroyRomneyDestroyRomney...etc.)
It has become quite tiresome. Could someone please tell me why FreeRepublic is doing this?

The bigger problem is that the Democrats (with the assistance of the MSM) don’t, at least in areas where policy is formed. That allows them to isolate their targets and concentrate fire with little return fire.
Until we get enough effective people in the field to change that we will continue to loose. It doesn’t matter how many people visit this site or listen to Rush if there are not enough people in position to effect change we will continue in our current direction.

McCain is why. IMHO. What was that? McCain...nominated by the Republican Party...notorious leader of the gang of 14 that prevented conservative SCOTUS justices...1/2 of the McCain Feingold campaign finance limitation legislation...and then....he had to adhere to it....while the Present 0 took undocumented campaign internet donations and ACORN registrations...McCain...did what?...Sarah Palin...and for that we (ok me) voted for him (scratch that..her)
Where were the McCain RHINO headers at the top of every thread then? When they would have been appropriate...but no...FR was more PC then.

You bring up some good points. One point that I would like to emphasize, though, is that although this forum is a lot of fun and some people seem to get off on peeing on the other guy’s Cheerios, actually getting conservatives ELECTED depends on grunt work at the precinct level. It was a hard lesson for us in VA - after getting drubbed two elections in a row after nominating true conservatives for Governor, we put one into Richmond last month. I remain convinced that we lost because the conservative message got lost in the noise. We need to get involved at the precinct level and consistently push our message out - and not get thrown under the bus by the GOP establishment. People are awake and starting to listen now. We have a GREAT opportunity in 2010. Now is the time to get to work. Just my $.02.

Not really, this forum is ably managed and operated by Jim and John Robinson, but it is what is because of the knowledge and experience of the many posters.
It is also made possible by the contributions of many of it’s members .I try to make my posts relevant, interesting and non- confrontational (but I will stand my ground), I have contributed my share of funds since I have been here. I expect my Posts (as long as they conform to policy) to be accepted.. when they are not I (with my money) will leave.

Yes, the guy's got boatloads of charisma....it is as undeniable as the charisma of Clinton and Reagan and even Obama. It's an observation, not a statement of support.

Yes, the entire primary season, so long as I supported a candidate, I was a Duncan Hunter supporter all the way back to the summer of '07.

I agree with all that, but now that they've been up awhile couldn't FR take a break from the negative and they be switched to Conservatives we can support ~ Jim Demint, Michelle Bauchmann, Sarah Palin, etc? On the other hand, they don't really bother me. I just scroll past them. I can understand how to some of the "enlightened" already, they could become tiresome.
