The more I hear about this story the more I admire Jack Nicklaus. Won 18 majors, was a family man (did not marry a super model) with no rumors of infidelity, handled his wealth and fame with some degree of humility and gave back much to the game. I guess we live in different times, I hope Tiger gets through this and gets back on track.

Jack, Phil and lots of other golfers. This debate betwen Jack and Tiger being the best is nonsense. Tiger may still win in majors but I doubt it now. Jack was massively long off the tee, had an incredible short game and was dominating.

Tiger is streaky lately. He missed the cut at the British Open and was spraying shots in Shanghai where Phil won. He also did not shoot a 30 on the front nine at the Masters this year like Phil.

Ben Hogan winning 6 majors after he had a head on in the fog with a Greyhound bus in 1949. His body was destroyed and fixed with 1949 medical procedures and played with pain. What Ben Hogan did after his accident is unequaled in golf or other sports.

Can you imagine Phil Mickelson telling the cops to go away for 3 days? He would be run out of the PGA, Callaway would fire him and his parents would be all over him. It is not in his nature either. I mention Phil because Toger fan boys always love to say Phil is “fake” because he is such a nice guy who signs autographs for hours and is very “fan friendly.”

Different time? More like different standards. The PGA has two sets of standards. Tiger gets away with crap the other golfers would never pull with club throwing, swearing, etc etc. He pulls the TV ratings so he gets special treatment.

Very sad.
