Good question. I think a sand wedge would be best. I keep one in the car to use in case of emergencies. hehehehe
A wedge also makes a dandy walking stick for someone about 5’6”.

Actually, his Mrs. thought he stormed off saying he was going to pick up a sand wedge, so she said- "no need', and then gave him one.....
