Alternative media scoops MSM on Tiger Woods story
American Thinker ^ | 11/28/2009 | Rick Moran

So one of the greatest athletes in the world is unable to navigate the treacherous arc of his driveway and has to be rescued by his wife?

Mrs. Woods breaks the rear window of Tiger's 2009 Escalade to free him and the police arrive to find Tiger "in and out of consciousness" on the ground? All of this most unusual activity takes place at 2:25 a.m. with the same guy who can thread a 1 iron through the fork of a sapling and onto the green suddenly unable to negotiate an Escalade around the same fire hydrant and tree he zips by every time he leaves home.

The first report out of the Florida Highway Patrol sounds like it was written by the same disinterested apologists that covered the Ft. Hood jihadist's escapades. This, from the WESH Orlando TV station website:

"FHP said the crash is still under investigation. It said alcohol did not play a role in the crash, but that charges are pending."

Right. And the Ft. Hood shootings weren't terrorism. We know how this works.

I submit that the glowing adulation Woods receives from sportswriters and the kid-glove treatment he is receiving from the FHP is based every bit as much on political correctness as the willful blindness of the FBI, the U.S. Army, and the colluding media have been regarding the terrorist acts at Ft. Hood.

How many red flags does this protected apple of the media's eye have to unfurl before we get the truth about what Tiger Woods was doing driving out of control at 2 o'clock in the morning?

"The accident report was not released until nearly 12 hours after Woods was injured." The police say they don't usually release information about accidents but did so in the case because of numerous press inquiries.

As one might expect, the alternative media continues to do the work that the criminal justice system won't do. TMZ provide s a late update giving some needed perspective:

"Multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ Tiger Woods' early morning accident came right after an argument with his wife, Elin Nordegren.

We're told Elin told cops about the argument at the scene of the accident and Tiger gave the same story to authorities at the hospital where he was treated.

One Florida law enforcement official called it "a domestic issue.

[...]

UPDATE -- We're told the Florida Highway Patrol went to Tiger's house this afternoon to talk to him about the accident -- but they were turned away by his wife, who said he was sleeping. The FHP plans to try and talk to Woods again tomorrow. "

Is this standard operating procedure for the Florida Highway Patrol? Would the FHP allow your wife to shoo away the investigating officers who came to your door?

We just need to know: when did Elin break out that window and why did she do it?

“...everything I’ve seen of Tiger Woods shows him to be a very decent guy...”

I agree, Tiger Woods is also very patriotic (his father was career Military I believe) and is very good to the troops. His own tournament this year was in honor of veterans.

I admit that the fawning coverage he gets during competitions makes me crazy, but that is not his fault. The last tourny I watched they seemed to have toned it down a bit.

For a celeb he is OK and I hope he’s not running around on his amazingly gorgeous wife and if, in fact, he is not she owes him one big old apology. And if, sadly enough, he is, he is going to owe her one big old pile of money.

"That said, if Tiger keeps his marital disputes away from public streets (and automobile accidents), they would get far less attention."

There it is.

About 35 years ago, the state decided it was going to wade into the private lives of Americans and criminalize marital disputes. Whether or not that was or wasn't a good decision, is a discussion for another day. But, the current law of the land is crystal clear - marital or relationship disputes that include violence - and this situation was clearly violent - becomes the purvey of the city/county/state prosecutors, and therefor the people of the community.

If, in a violent marital dispute, you're going to hall off people without means to jail because that's the politically correct thing to do, then you had better haul off the rich people to jail when they get caught up in the same circumstances. Neither Tiger nor his wife are above the law, JMHO.

Here is the real story!

Tiger was sitting on the couch, in the living room.

His wife sits down next to him and asks "What on the TV?"

"Dust"  he replied.

and that's how it started

Same reason why Christie Brinkley wasn’t Christie Joel or Angelena Jolie isn’t Angelena Pitt.

My neighbor took his wife’s last name when they got married. I have female friends who married in their 40’s. Wasn’t worth changing their last names.

What’s the difference in a name?

They probably got into a fight over “her,” he walked out, she came after him with a gold club, smashing a window, and trying to get away from her, drove into the drive...

I was at the grocery store last night and picked up the edition of the Natl Enq with the story. No pictures of them together (mistress). Evidentally a friend of the other woman is giving the Enquirer the scoop. How true any of it is is unknown. The other woman denies it.

The final straw ? He left the toilet seat up. At 2am in the morning, for a woman, that is worthy of capital punishment.

Now just a cotton pickin minute here! We are going to need a time stamp to prove that claim...

FReeper OldDeckHand gets credit for being the first one to suggest that this was a domestic disturbance.

hmmm.... your theory seems more plausible than mine, though it possible it started on the couch and the toilet thing was the last straw.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!

I make it the best way.

Two parts pomegranate liqueur, one part vodka, 1/2 part Cointreau (or Grand Marnier)........it will cure all your ills, my friend....

Enjoy, and tell me how it all turns out...
