I do not think that because one might hit one’s spouse in a horrible moment of finding out infidelity, that it means one would hit one’s child. No way.

Hitting your spouse in such a situation isn't a 100% guarantee that you'll hit your kids, but I think it should be factored against the hitter if custody is in dispute.

Kids can do stupid things that make parents very, very angry. If a spouse reacts to an admission of infidelity with claws and golf clubs, what's to say they won't react with similar violence if Johnny gets kicked out of school for drinking or when Janey embarrasses the family with a teenage pregnancy?

If there is a custody dispute, I agree that it should play a ROLE, definitely. I mean, OJ... I don’t think I need to say anything else...
