I wonder why the violence done to Tiger is assumed to be justifiable.

I think the debate here is incomplete because we are all just speculating on whether she assaulted him with a deadly weapon or just scratched him in the face.

I do have sympathy for the wife: if she suddenly found out the truth (maybe he told her) about the affair, this would be a "normal" reaction, clawing at him in her utter anger. Now, is this a good thing to do?? NO. But if all she did was scratch him enough to draw blood, or even one punch in the mouth with her hand, and then chase him down the drive and smash his rear car window, I do not think she needs to go to jail. She needs to be home with her children.

On the other hand, if she HIT him with the club, she deserves greater punishment. She truly could have killed him.

He was bleeding from the mouth. That doesn’t happen from having your face scratched. She also was admittedly wielding a golf club.

She has problems if this is how she handles rumors and/or bad news.

He was LEAVING the house at 2:30 a.m. Can anyone explain why, except to get away from her?

Tiger has a lot more at stake than Heidi does. He has worked extremely hard to build who he is, his career. His parents were absolutely devoted to him. He will also in turn be devoted to this own children and do what is best for them.

If she has assaulted him with a golf club, she should not “be home with her children.”
