The director Steven Soderbergh compared casting the 21-year-old porn actress Sasha Grey as the lead in his latest film to working with Brad Pitt.
The interest in the sylph-slim, smoky-eyed actress, he explained, would be greater than the interest in the movie itself, a useful boost given that The Girlfriend Experience is firmly positioned at the defiantly uncommercial end of the Soderbergh spectrum.
Grey’s might not be a name that resonates through every household, but she has made her mark in the three years that she has been active in the adult entertainment industry. Last year she was the youngest person to win Adult Video News Awards’ Female Performer of the Year gong.
I witnessed the Sasha factor first-hand when I hosted a question-and-answer session for The Girlfriend Experience at the Barbican cinema in London. It wasn’t the stampede of autograph hunters at the end of the evening that surprised, however, rather the fact that about half of them were young women.

Mere conclusions without supporting reasons are worthless! Since many a time I have had my own posts repeated multiple times, it is useful to know the type, number, and sources of posting. As to the co-starring with Brad Pitt, the lead paragraph of the story does indeed give that impression.
That is interesting. I knew she was underage in many of her films, but I hadn't heard "the rest of the story".
Sasha Grey is not just any porn actress, she is a fetish porn actress. Even Howard Stern was disturbed by her.
She is one of those porn stars that try to justify their behavior by claiming they are artists. She is just a cute girl that is naive and willing to do anything to make a quick buck. She probably hates her father.
She will be used up in a couple of years and they will be on to the next girl. Mainstream movies? Never.

It's that any actor has difficulty making it big. The entertainment world is full of good-looking guys and girls who don't make it to the B-list, let alone the A-list. Porn stars are no exception.

However, when I to think of the way this young lady had sex with people, on camera, for money...it is just gross. How many people has she slept with, I wonder? If you sleep with someone, you sleep with everyone they have ever slept with, physically and spiritually. I would not encourage a relationship with a person that sold themselves for profit. Perhaps in theory you believe what your are saying, but if the situation presented itself in real life, you might feel some hesitation.

This is just nonsense. I'm guessing that my wife had "slept with" (to use your term) others before she and I married. I'm pretty sure that I didn't "sleep with" any of them either physically or "spiritually.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but what exactly do you think happens when a guy and girl go out on a date? He pays for gas, the food, the show, the flowers, etc...., then at the end of the evening, they "sleep together". This has nothing to do with "for profit" and everything to do with a trade. They've each provided the other with something of value. It is up to each of them - and each of us - to name and agree with that value.

People who screw on film for money are gross, do not let them in your house or sit on your furniture! ...hmm, lets see, I will sum up YOUR opinion. Everyone should be as open-minded as you. You and your wife were both promiscuous when you married and you both didn’t mind. It is okay for people to film themselves screwing on film for money...
