That’s a juicy bit of information, if it’s true.
I can’t find any hard evidence that the USDOE started CRU East Anglia, or funded it. There are suggestions about funding from outside sources, however.

I thought I saw a note in one of the emails to the effect that DOE money was used .,...to start the CRU...course...I think Jones is at least the third director...
