I was a telephone man for 30 years. Hooked a 60 ft pole once. Pole was so big around the butt I let my belt out to the last notch and had to have help getting the thing around it to belt off. I climbed that one with my belt instead of belting off at the top. Had to readjust my belt at the top.

I didn't like it. Funny what you'll do for money. I had to put up with cat calls from the 90 ft climbers. I was too slow and cautious for them. Actually, I had to stop and rest a couple of times before the top. I was having trouble breathing through my ass as my pucker string was too tight.

I used to know a guy that designed tall antennas. Real tall - like in the 1500' foot range. He told me he had to climb them once in a while.

His brother died on one. They rigged a bucket to go to the top. The anchor in the ground came out and his brother fell about 1000' feet.

I used to know the Rukavina brothers. They put the antennas on top of buildings. One they did was the Sears Tower. NO WAY on earth am I going up there.
