I think part of what we’re seeing here is the decline of the desktop computer.

People just don’t buy them as much anymore. Laptops and netbooks is where the market is moving.

I have heard from many that they want a computer to hook up to their new wide screen TV. They think they have thought of something new when they ask me to build a computer for their living room that will surf the web, play games, etc. while using a wireless keyboard and mouse.

I think people are “working” with laptops, while the (formerly) desktop computers are becoming entertainment machines.
