College FB—this weekend in particular—is one of the great pleasures of life. Predictably at my college (and to add some Freeper content to the thread) one of the books under consideration that all Freshman (”First Years” as we are supposed to say) will be required to read next year purports to show why major college sports programs should be eliminated. All I can say is, I hope that Kentucky will beat Tennessee for the first time nearly in living memory ‘cause they may not get too many chances if the lunatics stay in power much longer!

Oh, and I feel sorry for any team that has to play TCU in a BCS bowl.

When the Gamecocks lose to Clemson this week they and coach Spurrier will be Dabo and 2. Gamecocks lost to Clemson last year.

The suspense in the FWIW top 25 is intensifying. Ohio State is #1 once again but their regular season is complete. TCU and Texas each have one game remaining and could take the lead. Either Florida or Alabama could do the same with two games remaining. Their last game each is against each other. So many possibilities. So little time. In the meantime kick back and enjoy the turkey.

Considering what they had available to work with when they took the job at SC I think Holtz did a a much better job than Spurrier.

As a Syracuse fan, the rivalry with UCONN in BASKETBALL is one of our fiercest.
However for football, I miss playing BC and Penn state.
To: Radl
Gamecock fans will argue against that but I agree. Gamecocks players showed their true colors by starting a fight during Coach Holtz’s last game. Real class acts.
