First will come earnest claims that the leaked emails were taken out of context. Then, the claim will be made that they were doctored. Then, there will be a cute term to denigrate those who think there is a hoax, like Birther, Truther, Grassy-knoll conspiracy nut. Then a full-court press to paint anyone who does not Believe as a dangerous, raving, nutcase. In some places, I expect that expressing disbelief will become illegal, like in certain EU countries where openly questioning history from 1939-1945 is illegal.
I have noticed that the global warming alarmists have stepped up their doomsday chant, predicting 6, 8, or even 10 degrees of warm by the end of the century with consequences more dire than ever. I think this is in response to the exposure of the hoax.
So to answer the question in the article, the AGW hoax will accelerate and will last as long as it takes for them to get the keys to the global economy.
