Beck is wrong to be contributing to the already low military enthusiasm among our young men, already we are forced to take their girlfriends and 42 year old grandmothers to replace the males that refuse to serve their nation.
I was lucky to serve under Nixon and Reagan and while I admit that Reagan may have been the reason I signed up for the second time (after being out for ten years), Nixon had nothing to do with me enlisting the first time.
I don’t really put much stock into who the commander in chief is when you serve, to me that is too trivial for the average soldier to care about when compared to the real reasons one enlists or wants to continue or discontinue his service.
I disagree. Everything in life is about leadership. My 16 year old has been thinking about joining. His grandfather was a flight surgeon at West Point in the early 60s. I was born there and have always admired and respected those that serve this great country. Since the Manchurian Candidate’s election I have been discouraging my son from going this route. Leadership starts at the top. The Ft. Hood massacre illustrated the vaccuum of leadership that exists in our armed forces.
Yep, I have to agree. I served under 5 different Presidents, including Clinton and this current retard. Presidents come and go. You don't swear to defend a President, you swear to defend the Constitution.
I beg to differ
