I am only a baby Tolkien geek.

In Tolkien’s world Sindarin was the rough equivalent of Latin and Quenya of Greek in the England of the 19th century. All educated people were presumed to know some Sindarin, but only the real geeks had much Quenya.

You remember more than I do. I couldn't remember which was the ancient language and which was the modern one.

I am not short and stout but I always wanted to speak Dwarfish. Tolkien didn't take it that far. :`(
