I love his Diners, Drive-ins and Dives show. I didn’t like him in the Food Network Star Search contest, but I LOVE that show. That food looks so good. I eat vicariously through that show.
I like how he showcases independently owned places that focus on making the food interesting or at least unique.
Being out in the suburban hinterlands, surrounded by nothing but insipid chain restaurants, I envy the happy customers at the places he visits.
I’m with you. I wish I could eat the food he showcases. Well, I could but I’d be 300lbs. and would probably need a triple bypass.
