Like Vincent Van Gogh, the world did not appreciate or discover Eva Cassidy’s music until she died ( too young ).
Her version of SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW is one for the ages. I thought nobody could do better than Judy Garland until I heard her haunting version.

Been a big fan of hers for years and I have turned on a LOT of people to this amazing woman who died way too young.

Oh, my. Isn't she an amazing voice. Such a sad story. Somewhere Over The Rainbow has always been one of my all time favorite songs. Like everyone else, I grew up believing that no one would ever sing it like Judy Garland. Then I heard Eva's version. It was so beautiful that I cried and I still do every time I hear her sing it. I became a fan that day.
Its amazing how well those long ago recordings hold up. I can only imagine how glorious those songs would sound had they been recorded with today's technology.

Over the Rainbow is good but Eva’s talent really shines on Golden Thread.
I think that’s how she got the nickname evarethra
