If this virus is so bad, why has WHO stated it’s no different than the H1N1 virus?

Let’s be sure we don’t spread rumors. There are plenty of reasons why the H1N1 virus is apparently hitting the Ukraine harder than anybody else: bad health administration bad government, political intrigue. The last thing we need to do is spread panic.

I don’t feel that I am spreading panic but I understand your concern.
I am not interested in receiving the H1N1 vaccine and am generally rather skeptical of the stress around swine flu so when I read this I was skeptical - it seems like ‘flu of the month’ time. I hadn’t really imagined the virus necessarily affecting the US as this is the Ukraine but situations that affect swaths of the economy in Europe, even if it turns out to be pointless panic, is of interest to me and that is why I posted it.
Another feature of the article that caught my attention was that it is said to be composed, uniquely, of 3 viral strains. The last time I read of a ‘uniquely combined flu strain a poster had commented that odd, never before seen combinations of flu viruses can indicate the presence of of a manufactured virus and so, when I read this article, I wondered if Kremlin intrigue was in play.
