Hey, it’s not my fault the Apple on-line store is confusing, and allows you to configure systems for more than they are worth. It was done entirely at their site, no fudging at all, and chosen to be their “budget” entry. Features chosen were such that they would best match a similar entry-level Dell (same HDD size, RAM amount, etc).

So tell us, oh great wise one, how you can configure a Mac that’s lower cost than an equivalently equipped Dell? Is it possible? If not, then the grandparent’s contentions - that you pay a premium for Mac hardware - is completely accurate.
