Not a mention of it in the St. Pete Times.

Nor do they carry the recent picture of the president for the SECOND time photographed NOT doing a proper salutation.

Well, my friend, it was the Los Angeles Times that broke the story to begin with on their website. That was what started the entire controversy.

I googled it and the only substantial hit was the Telegraph ...

OK, if Obama really feels that way about Japan, then fast track selling them the F-22. If we aren’t going to buy them, then let the Japanese buy them and keep our assembly line open. Heck, offer to let them buy decommissioned US Aircraft carriers (I think the Constellation, Kitty Hawk, and Kennedy are all possible candidates) and submarines if they want, too. If they United States is going to drop the ball on defense, we should pass it on to the Japanese in Asia since the odds of the Japanese turning in the United States approach zero in the foreseeable future.

The LA Times is the story that kicked it off, so I’d disagree with your title.

After all, it’s no longer news when BO abases himself in front of any “king” abroad. He probably apologized for our fighting back after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor, too.

It may just be the mood I’m in but who cares? The average american doesn’t know the difference nor do they care. Seems Freepers are getting in a tizzy for nothing.
To me, Ft. Hood insight on this site are much more useful and constructive to our cause. Let’s not let Barrys “bow” interfere with our purpose here. Freedom from extremist entities and murder.

The liberal MSM know it is wrong, un-American and very un-POTUS like.
More importantly, they know they have installed an incompetent ignoramus in the WH.
But the media don’t report on their own mistakes.

Because this is the cycle as we have seen time and again in the past, which applies to the Tokyo Bow:

(we are between Phase 3 and 4, IMHO)

1) STORY gets full coverage on Free Republic based on the work of an Army of Davids, many well qualified to comment on complex matters, even perhaps better than much of the US Mass Media.

2) Story is picked up by the majors in the Conservative Sphere: FOX News, Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, Savage, etc.

3) Libs maintain utmost silence, hoping it will go away.

4) Libs finally comment with lame excuse, try to drop subject, and still hope it goes away.

5) Mainstream MSM ignores it COMPLETELY.

6) Media and lib talking heads finally recognize issue, but either slander or ridicule Conservative side without any deep refutation.

7) Mainstream media finally forced to report on it and air criticism of issue/fiasco/situation form Conservative side, because it has made the rounds too many talk shows, TV programs, Internet, late night talk show hosts, is now office water-cooler joke-level, etc....
