Pats defense wasn’t going to stop them. However, while people are scorching BB on this consider the following:
He didn’t juggle the catch, he didn’t fail to run down the field far enough to ensure a 1st down, didn’t get his ass kicked all game by a player 70lbs lighter than him, he didn’t throw a pick into double coverage and nor did he fumble on the goal line. He didn’t fail to cover WRs, TEs or RBs, nor did he fail to sack the QB. He also wasn’t the guy who bit on a stop and go route that allowed a TD and nor was he the guy who threw the perfunctory flag for pass interference that Indy always gets against the Pats.
Maybe if his players did their jobs then none of this conversation would be happening.
It probably shows how crazy I am, but I thought it was the right call. The Colts hadn’t stopped the Pats all night, and the Pats had started giving up huge chunks of yardage on defense.
