People have been picking them up. Even heard one on an ad a few days ago. Either I was living in a fog before, or Glenn Beck's phrases have become a part of our American lexicon.
Here are a few:
1. I'm just sayin' 2. Not so much... 3. Shut your piehole
Now I know those phrases were probably used somewhere in the country before. Maybe even on T.V. (which I don't watch often), but it's interesting to hear them picked up and used by people who wouldn't be caught dead using them if they thought they came from Mr. Beck.
I may be wrong, but I'm just sayin'...
You’re kidding right?
LOL No, I’m not. See I told you I’d been living in a fog...well I don’t have any kids so maybe I missed out on all the phrases of the day.
You sick and twisted freak....
Where’s my duct tape?????
I would LOVE to be wrong...call me.
‘Sweating gravy’
“Reeeeaaaaaaalllllyyyy?”
I’m just riddled with ADD.
All three are in the “Compendium Of Over-Used and Banished Phrases”. Beck is waaaaay behind the curve not plotting it.
Hmmmm...guess he’s so behind the curve that he’s ahead of it and the phrases have come back into overuse. ;)
For the Love of God.. Blood is going to shoot out my eyes!
Not until your head explodes.
Every radio DJ in Atlanta uses “not so much” to the point of being annoying. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Did others adopt Beck’s quirky lines, or is Beck using current catch phrases.
Yeah, well my Nana said square heeled shoes would eventually come back. And they did. ;o)
I would say that it is the former.
I used to love it when Glenn would GOMP a caller.
Get off my phone, you freak!!!!
Great big fat fat fatty fatso!!
That’s Tremendous!!
Good morning this morning!! (quack quack)
