I guess the Grand Mutif of Jerusalem did not get the message about fighting Nazis. He had no problem joining Hitler and if I remember right there was a SS Units with Palentinians Muzzies in it.
The SS units were “Handschar” and “Skanderburg”. They were composed of Bosnian Muslims, and Croation Muslims and Catholics.
One or two companies of Muslim SS troops fought in the Battle of Berlin, at the very end. They were attached to Panzer Division Munchenberg. Some were Palestinian and Iranian, as well.
French SS, Italians, Norwegian SS, Dutch SS, Danes, Latvians and even Swedes fought and died in Berlin, as well. (11.SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division Nordland)
Read Jonathan Trigg’s “Hitler’s Jihadis: Muslim Volunteers of the SS (Hitler’s Legions)”. He goes in to this in great detail.
