She can’t possibly think this outfit looks either good or appropriate. She must be intentionally trying to draw criticism.
Not only that, but patent leather boots! Everybody knows one doesn’t wear patent leather footwear after Labor Day! (However, being as clueless as she is, I wouldn’t expect her to know that. It is, however, one of those “whitey” rules that she would flaunt if she knew about it.)
The color she is wearing screams “Look at me!” She is as narcissistic as Zero is and an insult to veterans.
This lady has 26 people who dress her?

My Dear First Lady,
1) This is a somber occasion to remember our war dead and to honor those who served in the military. More subdued colors is appropriate here. Since this is not a funeral black is not necessary but still appropriate along with gray, dark brown, dark maroon, dark green..etc.
2) The **point** of this occasion is to honor those who served in the military. It is **not** to draw attention to you, Michele. Again: More somber and subdued colors and less attention attracting fashion.
3)Other photos ( on another thread) show that your skirt is shorter than her coat in the front, but, in the back it is several inches longer. Michelle, honey, you need a competent seamstress to help you with this.
4) The belts are getting tiresome. I am reminded of a friend I had when I was in nursing school. My friend sewed most of her clothes from Simplicity “Quicky” patterns. For the three years I knew her she was the “Quicky” girl. Michelle, it is OK to give certain bold styles a good long rest.
5) The White House is **NOT** about you, Michelle. When my cousin was married, before the wedding, my mother showed me the dress she had decided to wear. It was a lovely light gray chiffon. She had another dress that was a brilliant bright pink that she like much more. But...My mother said, “ I am wearing the gray. I don't want to take attention away from my sister ( the mother of the bride).” My mother had class, Michelle. She knew the whole world wasn't about her.

OMG........THAT BELT AGAIN!!! What is it with her & this belt? Doesn’t she know she looks like fool?
I don’t know but they are on most of the fashions out there today. A lot of them are no more than wide grosgrain ribbon, cheap ones at that. Even saw them at the CMA on one of Carrie Underwood’s UGLY dresses.
The rule is no patent leather or white footwear after Labor Day or before Easter. They are considered strictly summer wear. (But then, the patent leather does go with her spring coat ensemble. She is seasonally-challenged, I guess.)
I agree that she completely looks like a storm trooper. The belt, boots, and black tights are extremely frightening, given what we know about her and husband. It’s like we’re in the middle of a 3rd world govt takeover.
She clearly wants people to view her clothing as part of her self-expression. And self-expression involves sending a "message" based on what she wears. Since she is an angry, anti-war, anti-America marxist the messages are coming through loud and clear.
