Seriously, why should the tax funded library system start providing electronic books?
Why, after Kindle stepped on its member right out of the chute by erasing , OF ALL books, 1984, do we want our tax dollars to contribute to that sort of well 1984 control?
I only have a cursory familiarity with Kindle. I would imagine this does raise many questions as to how (or even if) a library will be involved with this particular service. In away, it may be like the post office and the internet. Has the library associations been involve with
developing electronic book technology? I really don’t know.
