The trouble is, their religion dictates that the men never cut their hair and must always keep it wrapped up in a turban. This causes them to be confused with Muslims, and some people are unjustly prejudiced against them because they imagine that if a guy is wearing a turban, he must necessarily be a Muslim.

The turban issue is not difficult to understand. Sikhs wear their turbans over their ears, and Muslims wear theirs above their ears.

I keep waiting to hear of a Sikh male child, going to a public school, demanding to wear a turban and a knife.

I have no doubt it’s coming, though it seems to me if a parent is trying to raise a child to be that observant, he or she should be in a private school... But I wonder what state laws would be, if all the male children in a Sikh school were to be carrying knives...

That photo reminded me of a guy who had his nose, ear, and eyebrow pierced, and had a chain linking all three, disappearing into his shirt, where he later told me that it terminated at his nipple piercing...

One day, while he was running down a hallway he went around a turn, and somehow the chain got caught on something.

It wasn't a pretty sight...

You are right, of course. And I am usually rather broad-minded, but, lately, I am getting sick of all of the sensitivity we are expected to exhibit.

This particular guy sounds like a whiner, also.
