Please help...need a good ringtone editor to edit ringtones on a CD to use on my Sprint Katana phone. The Blaze Media Pro program says my trial period is expired. Thanks.
Get Audacity, it lets you import sound files, edit them, then save in most formats.

I use this one online...never had any trouble with viruses or anything...
I upload an mp3, edit it to the length I need, download it to my computer then email it to my cellphone as a multimedia message.

Thanks. My Katana takes a miniSD card and I should be able to edit the many .wav files I have on a Ringtones CD. It has Blaze Media Pro, but the trial period has expired and they want $50 to bring it up to speed. I think not. Don’t want ringtones THAT badly. Hopefully I can find one off of here to edit the .wav file to the proper length. I just don’t know the format yet. Thanks.

Downloaded a couple from Zedge. However, my phone will not recognize the files (Mp3). What can I do? Does anyone happen to know the format for ringtone files for a Sanyo Katana Eclipse phone? Thanks.

My guess is your phone may only support polyphonic (MIDI or MID) ringtones, and not MP3. There may be applications that can convert MP3 to MIDI format, but you're getting in pretty deep at that point for a ringtone and certainly deeper than my meager knowledge of ringtone-ology.
The phone takes .qcp ringtone files. Trying to get an audio editor that will take it to 8-bit and 8000hz so I can then convert to .qcp files. Major headache. Don’t believe the cellphone companies want me doing this — can’t find the programs.
Don't know if it will help, but I did find this article on converting MP3 to QCP format.
