Instead of sending on Scott Blair for a chip-shot field goal to tie it, the Yellow Jackets sent the offense back on the field. Nesbitt powered up the middle for a 2-yard gain and scored on the very next play. It was Georgia Tech’s first fourth-down conversion of the game after missing on its first four attempts.
Just kidding, they will likely romp over my beloved dawgs. I am glad Tech won.

Wake Forest seems to have a talent for getting a
steel spine when up against tough opponents
Wake Forest had lost 6 games, one a blowout by Clemson.
The other 5 games were lost by a total of 13 points.
Two were overtime losses, including this one. They lost last week to Miami by a point.
Wake is a good team.
(By the way, I was definitely pulling for Tech. I was a Ramblin’ Wreck 1965-67 before I went off to play in SE Asia. In ‘67 Tech was 9-0, #4 in the nation before loosing to the Dawgs, then to Florida in the Orange Bowl)
