A Washington state woman said she is offering a reward for the return of a diamond ring she accidentally dropped into a trick-or-treater's bag.
Joan Collins of Camus said she remembered the 2-karat diamond ring getting caught on a plastic pumpkin being carried by a young girl, one of the about 300 trick-or-treaters who visited her home Halloween evening, KPTV, Portland, Ore., reported Thursday.
"It snagged, but I didn't feel it come off," she said. "The next day, I said, 'Oh, I don't have my ring on.' I started thinking back and the only thing I could think of was that little girl's plastic pumpkin."
Collins said she did not recognize the girl, a 2-to-3-year-old wearing a green costume , or her mother. She said the pair came to the door at about 7 p.m.
She said she realized the ring, which she has rarely removed in 20 years, was missing the next day. Collins said she is offering an unspecified reward for the ring's return.
By now some kid ate it, or some mommy is very happy with the ring her hubby told her he sneaked in to the kid’s bag!
All I ever got was carrots.
To the person who found it. I will trade you 8 NECCO Waffers, 13 Dum Dum Lollipops, 2 boxes of raisens that also doubles as a Kazoo when empty, 18 butterscotch balls, and I will throw in 2 fun size candry bars of your choice.
When I was a kid there was a house that always gave us little bars of soap like you get in a hotel.
Same here, but it was much much worse. Her Dad is a Dentist and he gave her 3 boxes full of trial size toothpaste to hand out with the candy. Dentists and orthodontists should not be allowed to celebrate Halloween if they're going to get all tooth doctory on us. The looks some of those kids gave me, especially the older ones was a little concerning.
lol (calling to the other room, hey honey , come look, here's the ring i want, just like this one , two carrots) :-)

One Massachusetts woman was a lot more generous to Halloween trick-or-treaters than she intended to be.
Seven-year-old Hunter Campbell’s candy haul included a 14-carat diamond engagement ring.
The ring slipped off a newlywed’s finger as she doled out the treats in Natick, a town west of Boston. She’d just had the ring re-sized and it was a little bigger than normal.
The woman, Paulie Andreosatos-Gavin, spent a panicked evening looking for the ring before calling police.
Luckily for her, the boy’s parents turned in the ring as soon as they spotted it in the candy haul.
The bride tells MetroWest Daily News she’s sending the trick-or-treater a reward.
“Luckily for her, the boys parents turned in the ring as soon as they spotted it in the candy haul.”
I just love good a story with , a happy ending. :-)
She's still a newlywed and already had to have her ring let out? Uh Oh. Usually it takes a few years to pack on the pounds...
Assuming the story is true, was the kid dressed as Gollum?
“Mommy, I found My PRECIOUS!”
