if i lived during the middle ages, i would have become a nun... i do sometimes have daydreams of being a nun... even as a young girl i would daydream about that... i know i have completely romanticized what it would be like... even more appealing to me is the idea of being a monk! haha...

As someone who works closely with people there seems to be a great big hole in our culture that was previously filled by convents and monestaries. Places where people who dont quite fit in society can be connected and with one purpose. People who are passionate and need a channel with meaning (Star Trek doesnt really do it). I think that religous orders are important and would make our culture a better place.

One word about living in the middle ages, or ancient whatever, or the Victorian age, that will put a damper on fantastic imaginations:

Dentistry.
