Me too, another californian.
Senator, right?
Boxer is Senator wrong... about 100% of the times.
Two words. Juan McCain.
Sorry, I’ll stand with Chuck.
As usual with California politics I am in conflict. My views are much more closely aligned with Chuck DeVore than they are with Ms. Fiorina. However, I strongly question whether or not a little known assemblyman from Orange County has the enormous resources it will take to unseat an entrenched incumbent such as Boxer. Agreed Boxer is a liberal nitwit but then again so are the overwhelming majority of the people residing in this state.
I will probably do what I always have done through out my whole life: I will vote conservative in the primaries and Republican in the general election.
You can support who ever you wish. There will be a primary.
What I don’t like and I am sure that many here feel the same way is for the GOP Leadership to get behind one candidate or another. Pumping money into their favorite, GOP establishement
choice.
Let the people determine the nominee...not the hacks.
In that way, once a nominee is selected, it can rally around that nominee.
Arizona aint California. A RINO there or in places like the Carolinas or Dakotas is differnt.
Why are you supporting Fiorina for Governor, when she just announced she is running for Senate? Is there some meaning in your statement that I don’t get?
Christie is NOT conservative. HE’s moderate at best.
He is for lower taxes, regulation and spending though.
Just fyi
NY 23 was just plain wrong and required standing up against party bosses and the lack of a primary. But it was an anomalous situation. I dont think Id call Christie a Reagan Republican or pure conservative but I am glad he won.
If you’re going to vote for Fiorina, why not just as well vote for the democrat? There’s no difference in the two.
But why not use your effort to get the nationals to pump some money into DeVore and get a real conservative instead just another democrap (CPUSA) candidate? Then maybe DeVore would have a chance!
I did not say she running for governor, she’s seeking to challenger Boxer for her Senate seat. My discussion re governor was to point out that it is easier for a conservative win at the executive level than at the legislative level, which is one of the reasons I am more willing to support a RINO at the legislative (Senate) level.
But you miss the point. The GOP leadership has hand picked Carly, or at least Rubber Stamped her.
The National GOP leadership should not be involved until a nominee is picked. Then rally around that nominee.
Because the GOP has rubber stamped Carly, the conservative movement is coming to a race near you.
(And btw, she's running for Senate, not Gov. Sheesh....)
I saw what that hack did to HP. I saw how well she guided Juan McCain during the '08 election. I saw what she did to Lucent.
Carly's a no-good, Peter Principle-d, US jobs hating, greedy opportunist. NO NO NO! Go Chuck Devore!
Wow... now I really do not understand you.
Never mind.
If Californians vote their principals instead of doing what’s safe Chuck will win. We did what was safe with the Terminator & we got - PlasticLib. Chuck gets my vote!
Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican was not stated by Reagan, It was created by the GOP chairman because of all the attacks by fellow Republicans during the primary on Reagan. However, as Reagan stated, It’s a rule I followed during that campaign and have ever since.
Reagan also never picked on someone for being a democrat, liberal yes, RINO or democrat no. He understood that he needed the votes of the followers of RINOs and moderate democrats. As a former democrat himself, he loved saying, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The party left me.” He knew he would never get Larry Liberals vote but could get Mary Moderates vote. He saw democrats as potential future Republicans and RINOS as potential future conservative. Insults did not expedite this process.
This is entirely the problem with the GOP- support the 'popular' choice no matter what. Doesn't matter what she stands for. As long as there's an R behind her name and she has a chance to win, vote for her.
No wonder we are where we are today. And with continued actions like this, the GOP will never have conservative roots again. Never.
You do not advance conservatism by becoming more liberal.
Fiorinna is the so called leader who got thouroughly PUNKED by the PUMAs.
She is the incompetent who lead the “victory” campaign.
She also screwed over compaq and HP during her stint(k)there.
Just another RINO
