Now, if the Miss. California had simply walked away from the limelight after her statement at that beauty contest, this would hardly be news. However, she permitted herself to become a cause célèbre of Christian Conservatives by speaking at the Values Summit and penning a book about her faith and morality.
So yes, her past actions of appearing in a pornographic film are relevant to the discussion and are apparently a violation of the contract she signed with that beauty contest.
And from reading a review of her book "Still Standing" at the the Conservative Book Club website, it appears that her book may be quite compelling as she does take a strong stand for her beliefs.

That's where I find fault with her. If this sex tape was not something between her and a trusted bf, she should have kept quiet. It's very hypocritical and something the left can use (which they have).
