The fact that Newman walked away from that wreck shows they are doing something right.

I was at the Dallas Motor Speedway several years back when Ryan flipped like that before (I think it was his second year driving). Another wreck where you know if someone is fine after that, it is pretty amazing engineering.

Rocket man just can't keep it on the ground.

He’s had a couple pretty nasty wrecks.. it looks like it is slow motion when he was gliding backward at 150 mph about to nudge HapPy Harvick’s hood.. pretty close call indeed.

as to his walking away.. roll bar and cockpit design / technology has come a long way. His dogs and wife were thrilled too when he climbed out. :-)
