BTW, I should have added that I thought the season long suspension of Blount was excessive, given that the Boise player may have provoked him.

I would have favored a 1-3 game suspension.

I thought the penalty was excessive too. The “punch” happened after the play and took on a life of its own. Almost turning into a “Battery”. A gouge during a play is much easier to conceal although more dangerous and dirty.
