I don’t know or care about the science. I’m just glad I got the new porch/greenhouse built because global warming is apparently making it too cool and wet to grow tomatoes in Michigan.

As physicist David Douglass said, If the facts are contrary to any predictions, then the hypothesis is wrong no matter how appealing.
I sat in a meeting where a grad student said there was NO statistical correlation between two variables and then proceeded to show charts and graphs of cause and effect, and also made recommendations of action. If I remember it was something about health care.

Arctic ice extent is poised to reach its lowest-ever amount tomorrow, Nov. 5th if today’s trend holds for 24 hours.
AMSU-A temps at 600MB (ch 05) also took a sharp turn upward on today’s graph.
2009 is on track to be the 1st or 2nd hottest year ever.
