But they taste good. Which is more than I can say for most other caffeine delivery systems.

I love Diet Coke and good old fashioned Southern Sweet Tea. (Publix has the best sweet tea. It takes a knack to make good sweet tea-I can’t get it right. Don’t have to now...Publix does it for me.)

If there is no Diet Coke, I’ll take Diet Dr Pepper or Diet Barqs. NEVER Diet Pepsi—nasty. I drink my diet sodas out the can at room temp. The carbonation is just right. :-)

My kids always drank milk, juice and water except when they were sick. Then they would get Ginger Ale. It does the same thing as pedialyte but a lot cheaper. They have moved on to Gatorade, but that is as nasty as Diet Pepsi.

No single behavioral activity has a more negative impact on a person’s overall health and life expectancy than engaging in the male homosexual “lifestyle”. I trust that the government will be focusing on this issue with the same aggressiveness they employ while attacking the various food products they condemn, tax, and eliminate.

Uh, yeah.

Caffienne is my friend.

Yep. My doctor says some caffeine is fine. There is no way Dr. Pepper would lie to me!

I probably drink a can of soda once a day. Haven’t had a single cavity and the dentist always tells me my teeth are strong and health. Why, because I BRUSH my teeth. I also don’t have a gut or have any heart or health problems (according to my recent physical). Why, because I EXERCISE several times a week.

Just telling someone to stop drinking or eating something is not going to solve the problem of America’s health problems.

Good grief. This guy (Dr. Mao? LOL!) is a bigger quack than the AFLAC duck. He says beverages with bubbles contain phosphoric acid. No, the bubbles are CO2. Phosphoric acid is used to give a soda, mostly colas, their bite. Phosphoric acid doesn't inhibit calcium absorption in any way. He says Saccharin caused cancer in one study. In the study he cites, researchers fed lab rats nothing but Saccharin 24/7 and then wondered at the fact that they develop cancer. Stuffing lab rats with amounts that have no relationship to real world usage is the height of junk science. The good doctor appears to approve of junk.

Sugar consumption suppresses or compromises the immune system? Fer crying out loud......what is this guy a Dr. of, Public Policy? What a maroon.

Make sure your mom gets a bone scan.

From liver problems to bone problems to diabetes, her soda consumption is definitely taking a toll on her body but she won't listen to anyone. She's set in her ways.

That's why I don't drink diet or regular soda.

Good for you and Dr. Maotsetung. Now, leave the rest of us the f*** alone.

What Soft Drinks are Doing to Your Body

I don't doubt that this MAY be true, but the point is - it's MY body and 0bama, his thugs, or some liberals will not decide what I drink.

Wow Mr. Cranky-Pants! I simply posted this so that others can see what some bad habits can lead to. If you want to continue drinking soda, be my guest. I am not trying to tell anybody that they can or can’t do something. I simply choose not to waste my money on this kind of thing. If you want to spend your money on soda then more power to you.

Just a thought though, if obamacare does go through, it might be time to quit. If something bad happens because of soda you might not be covered.

There are a lot of things that are bad for you. Are they gonna tax it all?

Do you really have to ask? I can see the pattern now.

1) Tell how BAD something is.

2) Drum up hatred for the Evil Corporation who is making a PROFIT off this Bad Bad Thing.

3) Ask the public, "Wouldn't you like to take some of that profit AWAY from the Evil Corporation selling the Bad Bad Thing??"

4) Assure the public that the taxes will go to take care of the health issues arising from the Bad Bad Thing.

It worked on the cigarette companies. Now they'll go after soft drinks. Then junk food and fast food. Then corporate farms... (meat will soon be a Bad Bad Thing.)

Oh, noes! We will all die!

Avoid the soda aisle at the supermarket -- it is evil!

Ahem. You would think, with all the serious issues confronting us today - the economy, job losses, health care takeover, cap 'n trade, Afghanistan, Iran, etc., that this nonsense would be on the back burner.

Good reality check you posted, by the way.

(And I don't drink soda much, simply because I never formed the habit. When I do, I enjoy it.)

You’re outta step with the times.

You’re supposed to feel guilty and bad.

I tell ya, all these soda stories have caused me to drink more soda these past few months than ever before.
