Hope all is well with you. How is your friend doing?
I just received a call regarding my friend Sandy’s condition. It is not good, IMHO.
Sandy has a broken shoulder, broken clavical, broken ribs, punctured lung, broken leg with two steel rods........and the neurosurgeon has not shown up yet, to check on spinal or brain injury.
The staff is forcing her to take walks (without the neurosurgeon’s direction), and no one seems to be washing their hands, when they enter the room and tend to her wounds.
Her husband (who recently had heart by-pass surgery) and the sister (who was diagnosed with pneumonia today) are beside themselves.
The sister hid the BIL’s keys, so he would not drive the hour drive to the hospital today to see his wife, as he is mentally confused.......so a friend took him to the hospital. He is staying at the Ronald McDonald house, right accross the street from the hospital, and they will drive him to the front door when he is ready.
One good thing has come out of the whole situation - I talked to my insurance agent today, and upgraded my automobile insurance (as I urge you ALL to do)......just in case something like this would ever happen to me!
